Pleasanton Library and Recreation has many volunteer opportunities in library, civic arts, human services, environmental education and sports.

  • For teens, the library offers seasonal volunteer roles. The summer teen volunteer program is currently full, but check out the City of Pleasanton volunteer site for other opportunities!
  • For adults looking for an opportunity to be part of a life-changing program, the library is always looking for volunteer tutors in the Pleasanton Reads Adult Literacy Program.
  • The Friends of the Pleasanton Library organization has many volunteer opportunities for teens and adults year-round.

Thank you for considering the Pleasanton Library for your personal donations. Because of generous donors like yourself, the Library has been able to provide special events and enhance its collection and spaces. If you are interested in donating to the Pleasanton Library to support programs and services, please visit the Pleasanton Library or contact Administration at (925) 931-5340.

For all donations, please refer to our Library Donations Policy.
