Current Service Alerts and Infrastructure Notices

6/29/2026 – 7/3/2026 | Water Quality Update

Due to the annual State Water Project maintenance and seasonal algae in the source water, some customers may notice an earthy taste or odor in their drinking water. This is a temporary condition affecting several Tri-Valley water agencies.

The water remains safe to drink. Zone 7 continues extensive testing to ensure the water meets all state and federal drinking water standards. The City of Pleasanton is also independently collecting samples throughout the distribution system to verify water quality.

We appreciate your patience while Zone 7 completes its scheduled maintenance and treatment adjustments.

At this time, the City of Pleasanton Public Works Department is not aware of any service disruptions or emergency infrastructure issues.

Our crews continue to monitor systems citywide to support safe and reliable operations. If you have a concern to report, please use Report a Concern.
