Tamara Baptista

Tamara has worked for the City for six years. She was hired in April 2018 as a revenue manager for the Operations Services Department (now the Public Works Department), and then she was reclassified as Deputy Director of Business Services in January 2020. Tamara was then selected as the Interim Director of Operations Services in July 2022. Then, in July 2023, Tamara was classified as Assistant Director of Public Works – Operations and Maintenance. Tamara has over 30 years of experience in local government. Prior to joining the City, Tamara worked for the Zone 7 Water Agency as a Financial Services Manager, and she also worked for Cal State East Bay and the City of Newark. Tamara holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Management. Tamara completed the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Kenan-Flagler Business School Water and Wastewater Leadership Center Program.
