Housing

The City of Pleasanton Housing Division coordinates the development and maintenance of affordable rental and ownership housing in Pleasanton. The division is responsible for managing housing-related matters within the City, which includes administering various programs and services for low-income individuals and families, seniors and residents with disabilities.

Please note:

The City of Pleasanton does not accept rental applications or manage waitlists for housing. Leasing inquiries should be directed to the property manager of each apartment complex.

Section 8 housing vouchers in Pleasanton are handled by the Housing Authority of the County of Alameda at (510) 538-8876. 

Share Your Feedback on the Draft FY25-29 Consolidated Plan and
FY25-26 Action Plan Until July 31, 2025

The City of Pleasanton’s draft FY 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan and FY 2025-26 Action Plan are now available for review and feedback through July 31, 2025.  The Consolidated Plan is a five-year strategic plan that sets forth objectives and actions for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and Home Investment Partnership Program (HOME) for the period of July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2030.  The Action Plan describes how the City will leverage CDBG and HOME grant funding for the period of July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026.  

The 30-day public comment period is from June 20, 2025, to July 31, 2025. Community members are invited and encouraged to provide comments on the FY 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan and FY 2025-26 Action Plan.  Please submit comments to Housing Program Manager Steve Hernandez by emailing [email protected] or by calling (925) 931-5007.

The City Council will conduct a public hearing to consider the FY 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan and FY 2025-26 Action Plan at their regular meeting on July 15, 2025, at 7:00p.m. in the City Council Chamber located at 200 Old Bernal Ave.  Consult the July 15, 2025, City Council Meeting agenda for more information after publication on July 8, 2025.

Affordable Housing for Seniors and Persons with Disabilities

Eligible seniors and persons with disabilities can apply for housing resources ranging from referral services to affordable rental/homeownership opportunities.
