The City of Pleasanton Police Department continues to investigate a single-vehicle accident that occurred around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24 on Foothill Road near Stoneridge Drive that resulted in the loss of a family of four. The victims were a Pleasanton family of two adults and two children under the age of 15. The Coroner’s Office is still working to notify the next of kin so the family’s identity will not be confirmed at this time.
A full investigation of the accident is ongoing, although speed may have been a factor. The vehicle appears to have lost control and collided with a large oak tree. Despite efforts to render aid to one of the children, all four individuals died at the scene.
