The City of Pleasanton and Alameda County Agricultural & Standards Services are partnering to co-host a Ground Squirrel Mitigation Information Session on Thursday, October 1, to provide community members with practical information and strategies for addressing ground squirrel activity and reducing impacts around homes and properties.
The information session will provide an opportunity for residents and property owners to learn more about ground squirrel behavior, prevention and mitigation measures, and available options for managing ground squirrels safely and responsibly.

Topics will include:
- Ground squirrel behavior and why they may be attracted to certain areas;
- Practical prevention and mitigation measures residents and property owners can take;
- Available options for managing ground squirrels safely and responsibly; and
- An opportunity to ask questions and hear from Alameda County and City staff.
Residents and community members are encouraged to attend and bring their questions.
