6:45 p.m.* – Tree Lighting Ceremony
Includes Musical Entertainment, Tree Lighting by the Mayor and City Council, and a Special Appearance by Santa.

Sponsorship Opportunities 

Be part of one of Pleasanton’s most cherished traditions! The Hometown Holiday Celebration on Saturday, December 6, 2025 brings thousands of residents and visitors Downtown for the festive parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony. 

Sponsorships support event costs, enhance the community experience, and provide businesses with meaningful visibility through signage, social media, and event-day recognition. 

Sponsorship Levels: 

  • Presenting Sponsor – $25,000 (exclusive) 
  • Community Sponsor – $10,000 
  • Supporting Stage Sponsor – $5,000 
  • In-Kind Food/Refreshment Donor

Audition to be a Parade Announcer

Please complete this form if you would like to audition to be a parade announcer for the 2025 Hometown Holiday Parade. Walk-up auditions will not be considered. Auditions are open to individuals aged 16 and older. CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP!

To enter your vehicle or walking group, please complete all three steps below. Parade registration is not a guarantee of acceptance. All entries must be approved by the City of Pleasanton. You’ll receive a notice of approval once accepted.

Step 1 — Register: Sign up HERE
Step 2 — Wait for approval: You’ll receive an email confirming your entry is approved.
Step 3 — Pay & submit waiver: After approval, submit your registration fee and waiver by 5:00 p.m., Monday, December 1, 2025. Download your waiver HERE. Only one waiver per group is required.

Before you begin, please take a moment to read the Parade Rules below. As a reminder, this event is rain or shine.

Parade Rules

  • This event is rain or shine.
  • One registration per group.
  • All entries must be of a “Holiday Theme.” Lights and music are encouraged.
  • All entries must be safe for both passengers and spectators.
  • Auto entries are limited to 10 vehicles.
  • Entries must not exceed a height of 14 feet.
  • All entries involving animals are responsible for removing any excrement from the formation area and parade route.
  • Distribution of candy, flyers or other items is not permitted.
  • The parade will feature an official Santa and Mrs. Claus. No other Santa or Mrs. Claus entries, except inanimate ones, are allowed.
  • Political propaganda is prohibited.
  • Advertising is not permitted. Company names may not dominate entries. An example of acceptable wording is: “Happy Holidays from [Your Company Name].”
  • The Order of March (position in the parade) will be determined at the discretion of parade officials.
  • A confirmation email with check-in details will be sent the week of the event.
  • All entries must check in by 4:30 p.m. Late arrivals may not be allowed to participate.
  • The parade starts promptly at 5:00 p.m. and will last approximately one hour. The route, down Main Street, is about one mile in length.
  • This is a forward-moving parade. Stopping or reversing direction along the parade route is not permitted.
  • A designated disband area will be located at the end of the parade route. For entries with children, the entry coordinator should designate a safe area outside of the disband area for child pick-up. An adult must be assigned to chaperone any children.
  • All parade rules and instructions from officials must be followed. The City of Pleasanton reserves the right to refuse or remove any entry that does not comply.
