The City of Pleasanton has received the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting (PAFR) from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for its Popular Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2024. GFOA presents awards around this time every year, following its annual review of submitted reports.
This national award recognizes governments that produce high-quality, easy-to-understand financial reports that clearly communicate key information to the public. According to GFOA, award recipients meet rigorous program standards, including strong clarity, creative presentation, and a commitment to transparency.
“Clear, accessible financial reporting is essential to build trust with our community,” said Gerry Beaudin, Pleasanton City Manager. “Our goal is to show residents not just where their tax dollars go, but how those investments support services, infrastructure, and long-term fiscal stability. We’re grateful to GFOA for recognizing our continued commitment to transparency and responsible financial stewardship.”
Pleasanton’s PAFR provides residents with a clear overview of the City’s financial position, major revenues and expenditures, and the investments made to support community services and infrastructure.
