Street, Parking Lot and Pathway Light Maintenance Services RFP

Description

The City of Pleasanton presently owns and maintains approximately 7,200
street, parking lot and pathway lights. The Operations Services Department
administers the current maintenance services contract for the maintenance
and emergency repair of all street light, parking lot and park pathway
lighting, and will continue to do so with the company selected to perform
work described in this RFP.

The scope of services includes maintenance services and pole and relamping
services for all City-owned Street, parking lot and park pathway lights and
Hacienda Business Park Street Lights on a per-light, per-month basis, using
contractor supplied materials to keep all lights in good working order and
condition. This does not include poles, arms, bases or underground wiring,
which will be done on an as-needed basis either by proposal from the
contractor or by work order from the City.

Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for City of Pleasanton Trails Master Plan

Description

The City of Pleasanton is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to 
interested firms to develop a Trails Master Plan for the community. The 
Trails Master Plan will replace the 1993 Community Trails Master Plan and 
serve as an addendum to the soon to be adopted Pedestrian and Bicycle Master 
Plan.

The goal for the plan is to identify and improve the trail system within the 
City, establish standards for existing and proposed trails, identify and 
rank priority projects, identify grant funding sources for those projects, 
show connections and identify opportunities to the regional trail system, 
and serve as the basis for all future development.

The “Approach to Work” should reflect how the firm anticipates meeting 
this goal.

The “Scope of Work” included with this RFQ provides an outline of the 
anticipated tasks, however the City anticipates the final “Scope of 
Work” will be developed with assistance of the selected consultant.

The budget for the trails master plan is currently $60,000. The negotiated 
fee for services will be based upon the final “Scope of Work” agreed 
upon between the City and selected consultant.

Annual Slurry Seal of Various Streets

Description

This work consist of slurry sealing eighty three (83) City streets within 
the communities of Valley Trails, Stonegate, Arroyo del Prado, Birdland, and 
Pleasanton Valley, with latex emulsified asphalt and Type II black

Two New Lighted Tennis Courts at Tennis and Community Park

Description

This work will consist of demolition for and construction of two new lighted 
tennis courts at Tennis and Community Park at 5801 Valley Blvd., Pleasanton, 
CA. Improvements include, but are not limited to, clearing and grubbing, 
erosion control, tree removal, earthwork and grading, drainage, trenching, 
electrical, pavement, tennis court surfacing, fencing, furnishings, 
irrigation, and planting for the construction of two new tennis courts.

Prime contractor shall self-perform 50% or more of the contract work by 
dollar amount.

The Engineer’s cost estimate for the project is $847,000.

Traffic Signal Maintenance

Description

The City of Pleasanton is requesting proposals for the equipment maintenance 
and emergency repair services for one hundred eighteen (118) traffic 
signalized intersections and eight (8) beacons / in-pavement light systems.

The City of Pleasanton presently owns and/or operates one hundred eighteen 
(118) traffic signalized intersections and eight (8) beacon / in-pavement 
light systems. Traffic Engineering staff administers the current maintenance 
services contract for the maintenance and emergency repair of all traffic 
signal equipment, and will continue to do so with the company selected to 
perform work described in this RFP.

SCOPE OF SERVICES 
The scope of services provides equipment maintenance services and emergency 
repair for one hundred eighteen (118) signalized intersections and eight (8) 
beacons / in-pavement lights fully described in the RFP.

COPIES OF RFP PACKAGE 
The RFP may be obtained at the Community Development Department of the City 
of Pleasanton, 200 Old Bernal Avenue, at no cost. The RFP shall be posted on 
E-Bid Board and will be available at the City's website at 
www.cityofpleasantonca.gov.

DUE DATE 
Proposals must be received no later than 2:00 PM, local time, on April 20,

Meadowlark Sewer Siphon

Description

This work will consist of The work to be done shall consist in general of, 
but not limited to, providing and installing approximately 790 linear feet 
of new 8-inch fusible PVC sanitary sewer with 12-inch fusible PVC casing by 
horizontal directional drill, 55 linear feet of 8-inch PVC sanitary sewer by

Old Vineyard Avenue Trail - Phase I

Description This work will consist of converting Old Vineyard Avenue between Vineyard Terrace and Machado Place into a Class 1 bike trail and equestrian trail. 
The project includes approximately 4,600 linear feet of trail for the base bid and approximately 400 linear feet of trail in the bid alternate.

Work includes pulverization of existing road, installation of asphalt
