Description

The City of Pleasanton is seeking a complete redesign of its current City website located at www.cityofpleasantonca.gov. In the four years since the site’s most recent upgrade, a number of changes have occurred that impact how the internet is used and how the community of Pleasanton interacts with their local government website. Web analytics and user feedback have revealed the need for a refined web experience that focuses on the user’s ability to find relevant information, access key government services, and quickly and efficiently connect with appropriate City staff. The final product is a clean, intuitive and user-focused website with streamlined and thoughtful navigation and accessible user interface. The new site should be developed using an open-source content management system, and all features should be developed with the goal of flexibility in mind. While most organizations undergo a massive site redevelopment every 3-4 years, the City of Pleasanton is hoping to create a new model for website management, establishing a site infrastructure that allows for iterative and adaptive changes over time. As an organization with 12 departments and a variety of department-specific divisions, there is a growing need for our web systems to be flexible enough to adapt to the rapidly changing needs of both internal City staff and the community. Over the course of several months, the selected vendor would create a plan to redesign the website, conduct user experience research for maximized usability, work with the City to create a design conforming to the City’s brand, create and build the site, receive feedback, train staff, and provide support up to and through the successful launch of the site.

Annual Slurry Seal


Description

This work will consist of slurry sealing twenty five (25) city streets with either latex emulsified asphalt or micro-surfacing, utilizing Type II black aggregate. The total project includes approximately 1,700,000 square feet of asphalt pavement area. Work shall consist of furnishing all the labor, materials, equipment, and necessary services for performing a complete project as specified in the plans and specifications. Work will include: placement of slurry seal/micro-surfacing; traffic control and construction area signage; providing and implementing stormwater pollution control plans; removing and replacing existing striping, pavement markers, and pavement markings; cleaning of the job site and other miscellaneous items. Bidder shall notice that although City will execute contract with successed bidder, the slurry seal work will not begin until August 2019. The base preparation work and crack sealing operation for this slurry seal project is being performed by another City project, Resurfacing of Various City Streets, and the start of this slurry seal work will begin after successful completion of base preparation and crack sealing from the resurfacing project. The Notice to Proceed for the slurry seal project will be issued on August 9, 2019. The Engineer’s cost estimate for the project is $820,000.

Annual Curb & Gutter Removal/Replacement


Description

This work will consist of, but is not limited to, approximately 33 pedestrian ramps, including one bulb out, 4,400 square feet of sidewalk and bike pathways, and 1,700 linear feet of curb and gutter. It shall also include median repair along Bernal Avenue, and the coordination and adjustment of utility boxes affected by the project. The Engineer’s cost estimate for the project is $500,000.

Livermore Pleasanton Fire Department Station No. 3

Description

There is a requirement that prospective bidders attend and register at a mandatory pre-bid meeting for this project. A bid received from a bidder that did not attend a pre-bid meeting will be deemed non-responsive. Pre-bid meetings will be held at Fire Station No. 3 at 3200 Santa Rita Road, Pleasanton Ca on Friday March 8 and Friday March 15 at 10:00 am. Bidders need only attend one of the meetings. The project architect will be available at each of these meetings to answer questions or provide clarifications. It will also provide an opportunity for prospective bidder to walk the fire station site and the location of the temporary station.
