Annual Street Resurfacing & Preventative Maintenance
In order to be an eligible bidder, interested parties must contact the city and request to be added to the plan holders list. Please see Notice to Bidders for more information. There are two components to this project: The first component is preventative maintenance work in preparation for the City’s Annual Slurry Seal Project; the second component is the Annual Street Resurfacing Project work. The preventive maintenance work includes approximately 30,000 square feet of full-depth HMA repair (dig-out) and 12,000 pounds of crack sealing on various streets in preparation for approximately 740,000 square feet of slurry-seal work that the City will perform under a separate contract. The preventative maintenance work shall be completed no later than August 29, 2025. The Annual Street Resurfacing Project work involves resurfacing approximately 1,230,000 square feet of existing pavement (approximately 12,500 tons HMA) and approximately 100,000 square feet of full-depth HMA pavement repair on various streets with HMA overlay, HMA overlay with paving mat, HMA overlay over cold-planed pavement, or HMA overlay over the cold-in-place recycle pavement. The project also includes the installation of asphalt leveling course in various locations, wedge grinding or milling, adjusting manholes and valve boxes, etc. to grade, traffic striping and pavement legends, pavement markers, traffic signal loops, traffic control and any necessary coordination with other projects occurring within the vicinity of the project site. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, incidentals, transportation and other necessary services to complete the work in accordance with these Project Plans and Special Provisions. The Engineer’s cost estimate for the project is $4,100,000.

Tree Care and Consultant Services
The City of Pleasanton is seeking proposals for tree care and consultant services at various parks, streets, golf course, and open space locations throughout the City. The Public Works Department, Parks Division maintains over 23,000 trees within 24.27 square miles. Although the total inventory does not account for trees located along trails or open space, it does include 385 developed acres of parkland at 46 sites and street trees located throughout the City.

The City of Pleasanton’s Public Works Department is requesting qualifications/proposals (RFQ) for geologic/geotechnical engineering Consultants to provide observation, GIS mapping, and recommendation services for four existing Geologic Hazard Abatement Districts (GHADs) within the community. The term of contract will be (5) five years beginning on July 1, 2025, and extending until June 30, 2030. RFQ for On-Call Services for Landscape Architecture Services
The City of Pleasanton’s Public Works Department is currently seeking to retain a maximum of three (3) landscape architecture firms for on-call services. The term of the contract will be three (3) years, with an option to extend annually afterward to a maximum of five (5) years. The total contract amount will be a not-to-exceed, aggregate amount of five-hundred thousand dollars ($500,000). Anticipated services are for project design and construction activities and may include but are not limited to: general consulting, planting and irrigation design, plan checking, Capital Improvement Program project design, computer or manual drafting, 3D renderings, and other tasks associated with landscape architecture design, construction, and/or operation as assigned and directed by the Director of Public Works. These services will provide support for the Landscape Architecture Section of the Engineering Division for various city capital improvement and private development-related projects. Environmental/CEQA On-Call Consultants
The City of Pleasanton Community Development Department is seeking to retain up to five firms to provide on-call environmental/CEQA consulting services. The term of the contract will be three years (FY 2025/26 through FY 2028/29) with up to two additional one-year extensions. The selected firms will be placed on an official list of qualified consultants who may be called upon to provide assistance with preparation of CEQA documents on an as-needed basis. Anticipated services may include but are not limited to preparation of Environmental Impact Reports, Initial Studies/Negative Declarations or Mitigated Negative Declarations, Addendums, and preparation of related technical studies. These services will support the Community Development Department in its overall work program, including and review of development applications, and CEQA documentation to support City-sponsored planning efforts and projects.
