Pleasanton offers a range of housing programs and related services to assist senior citizens. For most programs, a senior is someone who is 62 years or older.
MidPen Housing is opening the Waiting List for only the One-Bedroom Below Market Rate (BMR) units at Kottinger Gardens Apartments located at 240 Kottinger Drive, Pleasanton, CA 94566.
Pre-Applications will be available at the Leasing Office beginning
Thursday, July 16th, 2020.
The Pre-Applications will be accepted for a 2-week period beginning
Thursday, July 23rd through Thursday, August 6th, 2020.
Applicants will be required to submit a Pre-Application for placement on the Waiting List. All applications will be date/time stamped at the time received and added to the Waiting List by date/time order.

There are currently approximately 600 apartments in Pleasanton reserved for rental by low and very low income seniors. Each complex handles its own leasing and has specific eligibility requirements. Interested parties should contact each office directly for leasing information.
The City is currently working with MidPen Housing Corporation on the future Kottinger Gardens project.
Construction is underway on the first phase of the redevelopment of the former Kottinger Place site located at 240 Kottinger Drive. The new Kottinger Gardens will include 130 affordable senior housing units and one resident manager’s unit; Fifty-one units in 9 single-story buildings were completed in March 2017, and an additional 80 units in multistory buildings are expected to be completed in October 2017. Existing tenants of the former Kottinger Place moved back into the development in March, and tenants from the former Pleasanton Gardens project will move into the project in the fall.
If you are an applicant that submitted a pre-application for Kottinger Gardens Phase 1 during the application period, please be advised that the lottery was held on July 19, 2017. Midpen property management will be sending a lottery notification letter to everyone that applied to the address provided on the pre-application. The letter will inform all applicants of their lottery position number. please expect the letter to reach you during the beginning of August 2017. Applicants at the top of the list will be invited to participate in an interview and further information will be provided. once again, we thank you for your interest in our community.
