Join your classmates and walk or roll to school on Wednesday, October 4, 2023! The City of Pleasanton and Pleasanton Unified School District are partnering with Alameda County Safe Routes to School to celebrate International Walk and Roll to School Day.
The Annual Walk and Roll to School Day celebration is designed to encourage students, families, and the school community to walk, scooter, bicycle, take transit, or use other non-motorized transportation to get to school. Walk and roll to school days offer an opportunity for students to learn about pedestrian safety and the positive effect walking and rolling has in reducing traffic congestion around schools and improving air quality.
Donlon, Hearst, Lydiksen, Valley View, and Walnut Grove elementary schools, Hart, Harvest Park, and Pleasanton middle schools, and Amador Valley and Village high schools are all participating on October 4th, while Mohr Elementary School is participating on October 11th. Students will be welcomed with refreshments and safety giveaways. We hope everyone joins in these efforts to walk and roll to school!
