Summer Reading Programs & Events

Kickoff the Summer Reading Program with magician Brian Scott on the Library front lawn at 11 a.m.! As a bonus, the first 100 people who register for the Summer Reading Program will receive a special prize!

Weekly Programs and Events for Children and Families
Featuring Storytimes, Craft-ernoons, and Pop-Up Games
Performances by Creatures of Impulse, High School Music Collabortive, Pleasanton Youth Drama Arts Showcase

Events for Teens
Featuring Camp NaNoWriMo with a special author visit and Campfire Stories at the Alviso Adobe

Events for Adults
Featuring performances by local folk singer-songwriter Lauryn Marie and the Peripatetic Players acting troupe

All participants are eligible to win a free book after reading for 15 hours!

Participants who read for 30 hours will receive an extra raffle ticket to be used towards any of our raffle prizes.

Students entering 7th or 8th grades in the Fall are welcome to apply to become Kid Power Volunteers!
