In order to ensure the health and safety of every Pleasanton resident and prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community, the City of Pleasanton Library and Recreation Department has determined to follow the guidance of local public health officials by canceling all programs and rentals, and closing facilities effective tomorrow, Saturday, March 14through Sunday, May 31. The Dolores Bengtson Aquatic Center is one of these affected facilities.
May is National Water Safety Month!
While we can't swim at DBAC right now, we can still learn how to be safe in, on and around water. Here are some resources and activities for you and your family to learn about water safety.
The Dolores Bengtson Aquatic Center (DBAC) is Pleasanton’s premier aquatic facility, featuring:
A 50-meter Olympic-size pool
Shallow pool with waterslide
25-meter ‘L shaped’ lap pool with attached diving well and two 1-meter diving boards
Areas for picnics and lounging poolside
Pools heated to 80 degrees, year-round
Locker room with lockers that can be used if you bring your own lock (daily use only) and shower facilities
Plenty of parking
