Police-related services for youth are offered by the Youth and Community Services Unit (YCSU).

For youths arrested for minor offenses, there are two available referral programs for first time offenders in the community: the Pleasanton Police Department’s Juvenile Diversion Program and the Alameda County sponsored Tri-Valley Youth Court. Other resources that serve Pleasanton youth include:
- Axis Community Health: Offers several programs including the Teen Male Anger Management program and the Teen Drug and Alcohol Recovery program.
- City of Pleasanton Youth Commission: Advises the City Council on youth-related issues and promotes an understanding and appreciation of community affairs among Pleasanton youth.
- Ptown Life Resource Network: A “One Stop Shop” for youth resources and services in Pleasanton.
