Kid Power 2020

Welcome to Pleasanton Library's Kid Power 2020 site!

Kid Power 2020 is a whole new Kid Power! If you are entering grade 6th, 7th, or 8th in the fall of 2020, we need your help! As a Kid Power 2020 volunteer, you will promote the virtual 2020 Summer Reading Program on Beanstack by getting your family, friends, and anyone else you know (or they know!) signed up and participating. Creativity is key!

How would you get the word out? By phone? Email? How many people can you get signed up? How will you inspire them to participate and encourage them to keep reading throughout the summer? Will you make and share books recommendations? How will you help someone if they run into problems signing up or logging hours?

If you are inspired by the questions above and interested in becoming a Kid Power 2020 volunteer, please watch the Kid Power Registration Tutorial below and follow along with the steps outlined in the video.

Kid Power Applicants will be able to view all necessary training on the city’s volunteer management website, MyImpactPage.com. Accepted volunteers will be able to track the hours they volunteer promoting the program, print records of these hours, and, if needed, receive volunteer confirmation letters from library staff.

Still have questions? Email librarian Jeff Gibson at jgibson@cityofpleasantonca.gov.
