Class Information and Registration

close up of white child's hands playing with green play-dohGingerbread Preschool offers a variety of classes for children ages 2-6. This program is a part-time, recreational program that provides children an opportunity to experience a classroom setting prior to entering kindergarten.

Parent and Me Class

Requirements: Child must have a parent/guardian with them in the class. 21-36 months, must be 21 months by the first day of the class.

The Parent & Me class allows those students who are not quite ready to be on their own a chance to socialize with others. The class will feature music and movement activities for the child and parent.

2's Class

Requirements: All students must be 2 years of age on or before August 28

Diapering and toilet training support is available.

The 2's class provides a play-based daily routine, designed to be flexible and responsive to the needs of the children. The classroom structure is created on relationship-based principles providing children with quality one-on-one adult/child interactions. Children will develop and grow while they learn routines, social skills and a wealth of knowledge through new experiences and hands-on open ended activities.

3-year old Class

Requirements: All students must be 3 years of age on or before December 2
Child must be toilet proficient. Children in the 3's are allowed to wear pullups while they are transitioning towards toilet proficiency.

The 3-year old class presents a learning environment designed to help facilitate your child’s growth and development. The class presents fun hands-on learning experiences and supports each child in building competency in social-emotional skills, self-help skills and learning skills.

4-year old Class

Requirements: All students must be 4 years of age on or before December 2
Child must be toilet trained.

The 4-year-old class imparts the love of learning, focusing on developing positive communication skills, social-emotional skills, peer relationships, and self-regulation skills through daily classroom routine and activities. Also introduced are a variety of skills and concepts such as: problem solving, letter and number recognition, cutting, gluing, coloring, pre-writing and writing skills.

The Kinderpals class provides an extra year of preschool for social/emotional maturation. This class presents a fun and hands-on experience and supports each child in building competency in social and learning skills. The class is instructed using a modified emergent curriculum approach in which staff (through observation), tailor the curriculum based on the needs of each student while incorporating children’s interests in a play based, developmentally-appropriate format.

Registration Information

How to Register:  Open Enrollment 

  1. Registration will be online only at pleasantonfun.com, on a first come first serve basis
  2. You will need to create an account, unless one already exists, in order to register
  3. Payment will be due at the time of registration; spots will not be saved without payment
  4. A copy of your child's birth certificate or passport, immunization records, and proof of Pleasanton residency will be due to the preschool office on or before June 30.  If all documents are not received by June 30, your child will be withdrawn and your space will be offered to the next person on the waitlist

 

Refunds

Full refunds will be issued for any reason, without pentaly, 10 days prior to the start of class.

No refunds will be issued once the session starts.

Wait List 

If your child is placed on the waitlist he/she will remain on it until a spot becomes available. 

Once a spot is available you will be notified via phone and email.

You will have 24 hours to accept or decline the spot.

If we do not receive a response within 24 hours you will be taken off the waitlist and the next person will be notified.
