Director of Community Development, Gerry Beaudin

The Community Development Department is responsible for long-range and current land use planning, building permit plan check and inspections, traffic engineering and signals, transportation planning, code enforcement, and operation of the City’s development permit center. 

 

The Community Development Department Director, Gerry Beaudin, has been actively engaged in planning and community development for over 15 years.  Prior to serving in the City of Pleasanton his professional experience in California includes developing and implementing land use plans and projects, economic development strategies, and public policy recommendations for the cities of Los Altos, South San Francisco, and Mountain View.

 

Gerry has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Queen’s University, a Master of Science in Planning degree from the University of Toronto, and he is a graduate of the Senior Executives in State and Local Government program at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.  He is also certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners.
