Any person(s) conducting business within the City of Pleasanton is required to have a business license. This applies to those businesses advertising a Pleasanton address as their physical location and/or use of a Pleasanton address for business mailing purposes.
To obtain a business license please refer to applicable forms below.
We recommend NEW applicants allow 1/2 hour for over-the-counter submittals and approvals. Please plan to arrive prior to 4:30 pm to insure processing that day. Thank you.

Change of Address
If your business is located within the City of Pleasanton and you have a business location change of address, you are required to submit a new zoning application. Please make sure you check the box that says address change when submitting application. Please mail completed forms to the City of Pleasanton Planning Department, P.O. Box 520, Pleasanton, CA 94566
